St Andrews Pipe Band at Music in The City: Scottish Tunes sounding at Holyrood Church

Today was a lovely autumn day, perfect for playing at the historic Holyrood Church as part of the Music in The City festival in Southampton.

Music in The City, Southampton’s largest free music festival, celebrates diverse musical talents and St Andrews Pipe Band added that unique Scottish flair.

Holyrood Church, dating back to the 14th century has also been known as the church of the sailors dedicated to those who served in the Merchant Navy and lost their lives at sea. Therefore the Band  finished with a fitting Slow Air called  Sky boat.
